Rag Doll Wreath

To make this wreath you will need:
-Thinner cotton fabric or old sheets in any colours or patterns you like. You will need roughly 2sqm just to be on the safe side so you have enough.
-Hoop or wire clothes hanger. The size of the final product will depend on how large or small the hoop size is.
-Ribbons to match the fabric you choose. I recommend at least 1.5 meters to give you a generous bow and loop to hang.
-Scissors
-Optional: Any embellishments you would like to add on afterwards and a hot glue gun. For inspiration on how you u can decorate them I have added a floral design to this one using a mixture of dried and preserved florals which you can see at the end of the video.

Instructions:
Step 1: Cut fabric into lengths of roughly 28cm long by 4.5cm wide. You can easily and quickly do this by cutting a small slit in the fabric at 4.5cm intervals and then ripping it all the way down. Once you have plenty of long lengths of fabric you can cut them all into 28cm pieces.

Step 2: Fold each piece of fabric in half and loop it around the hoop frame. To do this the two loose ends of the fabric should go around the hoop and then be threaded through the loop of the fabric piece and pulled tight. Repeat this all the way around the hoop. If you are using different fabric colours or patterns consider alternating or having some sort of repeating pattern so that the wreath looks harmonious at the end.

Step 3: Trim around the outside of the wreath so that it forms a tidy circle where all the outer pieces are one uniform length. You can opt to trim the top layer of your wreath a little shorter for aesthetic purposes if you wish

Step 4: Add your bow at the bottom by pushing both sides of the fabric pieces apart and then looping your ribbon through as you did the fabric pieces, then tie a lovely generous bow
Step 5: Add a loop of ribbon at the top to hang and then tie a knot to finish.

Your Rag Doll Wreath is done!
You can now use this wreath as a base for further decorating if you wish. In the example shown I have used dried and preserved florals and have hot glued them on. You can use feathers, baubles, artificial flowers, lace, really anything that you want that strikes your fancy.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and that you can give this lovely and simple design a go.
